The main characteristics of Linear Programmed Instruction may be like this:-
1. Content Divided into Small Steps (Frames):
· The content is divided into small segments called frames, each containing a small amount of information or a question.
· Each frame is designed to help learners understand the material gradually and build their knowledge step by step.
2. Sequential Order:
· The lesson is designed with a clear sequence. Learners must start from the first frame and follow the order until the end.
· Skipping steps or choosing content based on interest is not allowed.
· Activities or Questions in Each Step:
3. Each frame may include a question or activity for the learner to answer or complete.
· The questions are usually simple and aimed at testing the learner's understanding of the material just covered.
4. Immediate Feedback:
· After answering a question or completing an activity, learners receive immediate feedback.
· If the answer is correct, they receive praise or a prompt to move to the next frame.
· If the answer is incorrect, they receive an explanation or are asked to try again.
5. Self-Paced Learning:
· Learners can study independently without relying on a teacher or instructor.
· Each step is designed to help learners understand the material systematically
