Topic 29: CLOs and Assignments of a Course

In general, the teaching of any subject places importance on the course description. From the course description, expected Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) are defined, which align with the Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) specified by the curriculum.

In modern teaching, where a vast amount of knowledge is accumulated on the internet, assigning work to learners, particularly in higher education or at the graduate level, has become considerably easier. Graduate-level instructors should design assigned tasks to comprehensively cover the learning content and the expected learning outcomes of the course. This would be extremely beneficial for teaching and learning management.

In cases where a student is assessed as not passing a course and has to repeat it, it might not be necessary for them to attend classes for another semester. This could be tedious, as they would have to sit through the same content again with the same instructor. Alternatively, in cases where a student has frequent absences, they could compensate for the missed class time by completing assigned work.

The following example illustrates the assignment of tasks for a graduate-level course, Course 146 101: Principles of the Teaching Profession.

  Course Description

  An analysis of educational philosophy, concepts, and theories. History and system of Thai education management. The Influence of educational philosophy, economy, society, culture, politics, and governance on education management in Thailand. Application of educational philosophies and theories for the school development changes in the context of the world and society, both inside and outside the country, that affect education. Concept of sufficiency-economy philosophy. Applying sufficiency-economy philosophy in learning management for learners. Concepts of Learning Ecosystem and strategies in educational management for sustainable development. The trend of applying the concept of educational theories to the country's development.

Course Assignment: 146 101 Principles of the Teaching Profession

For students enrolled in the regular classroom system who receive a grade of F (Fail)*, they must re-register for the course. The new instructor may assign an independent study, requiring the student to present their work for evaluation. The grade will be determined based on the following assigned tasks:**

1. Summarize the meaning and types of educational philosophy, its value, its influence, and approaches for applying philosophical principles to curriculum management.

2. Summarize the key characteristics of educational concepts and theories, providing five important examples along with their application in educational management.

3. Study and summarize the development of education globally and in Thailand (or their home country).

4. Explain the influence of economic, social, cultural, and political factors on educational management in Thailand (or their home country).

5. Explain how changing global and societal contexts, both internal and external, impact the education system of any country.

6. Explain the concept of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and approaches for applying it in learning management.

7. Explain the concept of learning ecosystems and strategies for educational management aimed at sustainable development.

8. Study and explain modern educational trends, concepts, and theories for national development.

*Including students who face travel difficulties or health issues, primarily studying online, and are unable to attend classes for more than 5 sessions out of a 15-week semester. This is to ensure that these students acquire comprehensive knowledge as required by the defined learning standards.

**Every course must analyze their expected Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) and define a list of assignments that cover the course description and the expected learning outcomes for that subject.

ในการสอนวิชาใด ๆ โดยทั่วไป อาจารย์ผู้สอน จะให้ความสำคัญกับคำอธิบายรายวิชา จากคำอธิบายรายวิชาก็จะกำหนดเป็นผลลัพธ์การเรียนรู้ที่คาดหวังในรายวิชานั้น ๆ( Course Learning Outcomes-CLOs) ที่สอดคล้องกับ PLOs ตามที่หลักสูตรกำหนด

ในการสอนยุคใหม่ที่องค์ความรู้จำนวนมากถูกสั่งสมไว้บนระบบอินเตอร์เน็ต การมอบหมายให้ผู้เรียน โดยเฉพาะในการสอนระดับอุดมศึกษาหรือมในระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา ก็จะทำได้ง่ายขึ้น ครูผู้สอนในระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา ควรกำหนดชิ้นงานที่มอบหมาย ให้ครอบคลุมสาระการเรียนรู้และผลลัพธ์การเรียนรู้ที่คาดหวังในรายวิชานั้น ๆ ซึ่งจะเป็นประโยชน์อย่างยิ่งในการจัดการเรียนการสอน

ในกรณีที่นักศึกษาถูกประเมินว่าไม่ผ่านในรายวิชาและต้องเรียนซ้ำ ก็อาจไม่จำเป็นต้องให้เข้านั่งเรียนในชั้นเรียนอีก 1 ภาคการศึกษา อันจะเป็นการน่าเบื่อที่ต้องนั่งเรียนเนื้อหาสาระซ้ำ ๆ กับครูคนเดิม หรือในกรณีที่นักเรียนขาดเรียนบ่อย ก็สามารถชดเชยเวลาเรียนให้ได้ด้วยการทำงานตามที่มอบหมาย ตัวอย่างต่อไปนี้ จะเป็นการกำหนดงานท่ีมอบหมายในรายวิชาระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา วิชา 146 101 หลักแห่งวิชาชีพครู

                การวิเคราะห์ปรัชญาแนวคิดและทฤษฎีทางการศึกษา ประวัติและระบบการจัดการศึกษาไทย   อิทธิพลของปรัชญาการศึกษา เศรษฐกิจ สังคม วัฒนธรรม การเมืองการปกครองที่มีผลต่อการจัดการศึกษาในประเทศไทย การประยุกต์ใช้หลักปรัชญาและทฤษฎีทางการศึกษาเพื่อการพัฒนาสถานศึกษา  การเปลี่ยนแปลงบริบทของโลกและสังคมทั้งภายในและภายนอกประเทศ ที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อการศึกษา   แนวคิดของปรัชญาเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง การประยุกต์ใช้แนวคิดปรัชญาเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงในการจัดการเรียนรู้ให้กับผู้เรียน แนวคิดเกี่ยวกับระบบนิเวศน์การเรียนรู้และกลวิธีในการจัดการศึกษาเพื่อการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน  และแนวโน้มการประยุกต์ใช้แนวคิด ทฤษฎีทางการศึกษาเพื่อการพัฒนาประเทศหลักการ  

งานมอบหมาย รายวิชา 146 101 หลักแห่งวิชาชีพครู;

กรณีที่นักศึกษาเรียนในระบบห้องเรียนปกติ แล้วได้ผลการเรียน F-ไม่ผ่าน* ให้ลงทะเบียนเรียนใหม่ โดยอาจมอบหมายให้ศึกษา ค้นคว้า ด้วยตนเอง แล้วนำเสนอผลงานต่ออาจารย์ผู้สอนคนเดิมหรือคนใหม่ในภาคการศึกษาต่อไป โดยเน้นประเมินและตัดสินผลการเรียนจากงานที่มอบหมาย ดังต่อไปนี้**  

1. สรุปความหมายและประเภทของปรัชญาการศึกษา, คุณค่าของปรัชญาการศึกษา, อิทธิพลของปรัชญาการศึกษา, และแนวทางการประยุกต์ใช้หลักปรัชญาการศึกษาเพื่อการจัดการศึกษาในหลักสูตรใดๆ

2. สรุปลักษณะสำคัญของแนวคิดและทฤษฎีทางการศึกษา พร้อมยกตัวอย่างแนวคิดหรือทฤษฎีที่สำคัญ 5 รายการ พร้อมแนวทางการประยุกต์ใช้ในการจัดการศึกษา

3. ศึกษาและสรุปพัฒนาการทางการศึกษาของโลกและของประเทศไทยหรือประเทศของตนเอง

4. อธิบายอิทธิพลของเศรษฐกิจ สังคม วัฒนธรรม และการเมืองการปกครองที่มีผลต่อการจัดการศึกษาในประเทศไทยหรือในประเทศตนเอง

5. อธิบายการเปลี่ยนแปลงบริบทของโลกและสังคมทั้งภายในและภายนอกประเทศ ที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อการศึกษาของประเทศใดๆ

6. อธิบายแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับหลักปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง และแนวทางการประยุกต์ใช้แนวคิดปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงในการจัดการเรียนรู้

7. อธิบายแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับระบบนิเวศน์การเรียนรู้  กลวิธีในการจัดการศึกษาเพื่อการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน 

8. ศึกษาและอธิบายแนวโน้มแนวคิด ทฤษฎีทางการศึกษาสมัยใหม่เพื่อการพัฒนาประเทศ

* ให้รวมถึง นักศึกษาที่ประสบปัญหาเรื่องการเดินทางมาเรียนหรือเจ็บป่วยที่เรียนออนไลน์เป็นหลัก และเข้าเรียนในชั้นเรียนไม่ถึง 5 ครั้ง จาก 15 สัปดาห์ ทั้งนี้เพื่อให้นักศึกษามีความรู้ครอบคลุมตามมาตรฐานการเรียนรู้ที่กำหนด

** ทุกรายวิชาควรวิเคราะห์ ผลลัพธ์การเรียนรู้ที่คาดหวังของรายวิชา( Course Learning Outcomes ) แล้วกำหนดรายการงานมอบหมายให้ครอบคลุมคำอธิบายรายวิชาหรือผลลัพธ์การเรียนรู้ที่คาดหวังในรายวิชานั้นๆ
